| Always the bridesmaid, Gevena never earned her dry leg as a kid, but she placed well all year everywhere we went, including placing 2nd in the Junior Kid class at the ADGA Nationals in Indianapolis. She finally got the big bouquet as GCH at the Mid-Summer Show as a dry yearling and got that elusive dry leg. She has beautiful breed character, strong feet and legs, is deep and wide and angular, being smooth, sharp and just has this "look at me!" presence in the ring. She also had impressive LA young stock score. It's interesting to note that Gevena is genetically the same as Atiana: Geminia and Angel were littermate twins, both were bred to Silver, resulting in Genovesse and Anhelena who were both bred to Status, resulting in these 2 outstanding does. Gevena's full sister is SG Hoanbu Status Genovesse Grace 5*M shown below in the 'additional photos' section. Grace was a powerhouse of a doe with an incredible rear udder attachment and mammary capacity. Gevena matured into a beautifully-bodied doe! Naturally level over the top, a long flat rump, near ideal straight forelegs, and standing on 4 super strong feet. Unfortunately, shortly after freshening, Gevena went uneven. Since everyone has to be show ring competitive to hold their place in my barn, Gevena was sold. |
