A powerhouse of a doe and so very balanced, Gretchen's pedigree is
stellar with multiple Permanent Champions on top and bottom, Superior
Genetics, Star milkers and Advanced Registry animals. She is another
hot doe by our Senior Herdsire SGCH +*B Lakeshore-Farms Star
Status 4-05 EX91 EEE.
She freshened for the first time with triplets, and had put a lot of growing
on hold because of it. Once fresh, she grew, continued to fill out, and
kept looking better and better further into the season. Though Gretchen
hates men and hates to travel, she has placed consistently well in the
show ring. Her mammary is high and wide in the rear, smoothly
blended in the fore and possesses lateral attachments that approach
ideal. She has short pasterns, tight toes and correct set to legs.
Gretchen has earned both her one day milk test star and her Advanced
Registry star for production in milk, fat and protein in 2007. She is a
powerful, correct doe who, typical of this line, is maturing slowly and just
needs some time to realize her potential.
Gretchen is a full sister to *B Hoanbu Status Gawain, our 2006 ODGA
Buckeye Sale highest seller at $1,550.00. Semen is available at the
farm from Gretchen's littermate and Gawain's full brother, *B Hoanbu
Status Gatlinburg. Semen delivery to area shows, NAILE, Nationals and
Convention is available.
In a bad pinch for time and space, I reluctantly sold Gretchen. The deal
is to get a doe kid back from her out of one of my own bucks, so
hopefully, I'll have another little bit of Gretchen back in the herd soon.
