We are thrilled to have another Saanen buck at Hoanbu, escpecially a
buck of this caliber. Jagger combines some very exciting Saanens in his
pedigree and is a beautiful buck in his own right too. We appreciate
Jagger's size and scale, strength of feet and legs, depth of heel and
especially how smoothly blended in the front end and how straight and
true his front legs are. He compliments all this with dairyness and
angularity throughout, while having proportional body capacity for a young
buck.
Jagger's sire is Companeros Foxy Supernova is a young buck himself, a
son of SG Companeros Stand Out Starlet, who was the 1st pl/1st udder 2
Yr Old in 2009. Her sire SG ++*B Cherrypines Stand Out EX91 was the
2009 and 2010 National Premier Sire. Supernova's sire is Loughlin's
Voice of a Sly Fox, who sired the 2009 ADGA National Junior Champion
Companeros Foxy Catalina. It's interesting to note that StoneColdFox,
Jagger's paternal granddam, is sired by +*B Cherrypines Mr Peterman,
the littermate brother to Stand Out, making Supernova linebred on the
impressive SGCH Cherrypines Super Starlet EX92 EEEE.
Jagger's dam Noble-Springs NSZ Jazelle 1*M has turned some heads at
a young age by being named 2008 1st pl Sr Dry Yearling and National
Junior Champion. She followed that by being 4th pl 3 Yr old in 2010. She
is a large framed doe with a high wide rear udder, excellent medial and
teat placement. She has a smooth and full fore udder and has
impressive milk production. Jazelle comes from the strong maternal "J"
line that has been consistent for the Noble Springs herd for many years.
Now that Noble Springs Dairy is back on DHI and plans to appraise
again, we hope to build the pedigree with performance statistics that truly
show how impressive this buck is.
Jagger has been used in both the Noble Springs and McQuitty Farm
Saanen herds before coming to Hoanbu where he has bred 3 of our 4
does who will freshen in 2012. We all should have a good sampling of
what this impressive young buck can do!
