Joy is the first daughter of Status to finish her championship! Named
by my son, Joy lives up to her name and is a real joy to work with. She's
a very capacious doe who milks a good bit too. She earned her star as
a 2nd freshening 2 year old by producing 14.1 pounds of milk with a
total of 22.6 points on a one-day test.
Her biggest asset is her attractive, well supported mammary system.
So high and wide in the rear, such a smooth, full fore udder, and
correctly shaped teats. She also has a pleasing shape to her udder and
correctly balanced in the 1/3 behind her rear leg, 1/3 covered by her leg,
and the last 1/3 in front of her leg. Although, I wish I could stretch her
out from front to back and make her fuller at the crops, she still
manages to have a deep body, well sprung ribs, and strong, level
topline.
Because of one really nice (SGCH +*B Nodaway Sorcerer Legend 5-03
EX90 VEE) purebred Alpine buck in an otherwise purebred Nubian
pedigree, Joy is a Recorded Grade Experimental. Her daughters, like
Hoanbu Stripes Joy Nevaeh 3*M, however will be American Nubians.
Joy milked 13.6# on her first test as a 3yr old.
I had agreed to sell Joy before Linear Appraisal and after the LA
session when Joy scored a 90 as a 2 year old, I really regretted the
decision. Another really pretty Status daughter and one that's not in my
barn anymore. Shame! Shame!!!
