Like her dam GCH Lea at the same age, Lexi is a big, tall lanky doe.
She has been shown minimally, doing well enough, but not
gangbusters. I feel that Lexi needs some time to pull it all together.
She is a very large, powerhouse of a dairy goat, but as you can see
from her LA score, is still lacking some body capacity to balance out
her frame. She has a beautiful Nubian head, with a lovely Roman
nose, long bell shaped ears, and a perfect bite. Like her dam GCH
Lea, Lexi has a very pretty swan neck and powerful front end.
Lexi is a hard-worker who really puts it in the pail. She got her star as
a yearling milker at just 6 weeks fresh, milking 13 pounds of milk on a
one-day milk test. She has a very nice mammary system, having a
pleasing shape and medial. Her fore udder is long and full, and her
rear is high and wide. Overall, I'd like to see her topline more level, but
I feel that should come with some maturity.
Lexi's older maternal sister is GCH Hoanbu Gold Lea Geminia 3*M
who appraised EX91 with an E mammary as a 7 year old. Lexi's
paternal sisters include GCH Joy EX90, and our 2006 hot 2-year olds
SG Gretchen and GCH Pearll.
Lexi milked 15.5# on her first DHI test as a 2 yr old.... what a
powerhouse!
Another Status daughter I let go, Lexi was sold shortly after freshening
as a 2yr old. I wish I still had this Lea daughter in the herd as I feel
she could have really been a 'somebody'...
