Sicily is a pretty doe in a lot of ways. She's a fabulous rich red color,
has a quirky personality, and a very well balanced doe as you can tell
from her V's across the board of her 2 year old LA score. As just a first
freshener in 2006, we look forward to seeing more mammary capacity
with another freshening. Like her twin sister GCH Hoanbu Status Onyx
O-Joy 2*M, she has a very pretty U-shaped rear udder typical of our
SGCH +*B Lakeshore-Farms Star Status EX91 daughters. Also typical
is the attractive general appearance of Status daughters, being
smoothly blended, deep bodied, level over the top with correct
strong-and-straight structure to feet and legs. She also has that pretty
"1/3" balance to her udder, a smooth fore and nicely shaped teats.
Of course, showing in the same class as Joy, her twin sister who was
a second freshener, Sicily didn't get a whole lot of playtime on the field
being a first freshener. She did manage to beat her sister at the
Nationals, being placed 14th in the 2 year old class in Indianapolis.
With another freshening, we look for the playing field to be evened up a
bit for the twins in 2007.
Because of one (really nice!) purebred Alpine buck, SGCH +*B
Nodaway Sorcerer Legend 5-03 EX90 VEE, in an otherwise purebred
Nubian pedigree, Sicily is a Recorded Grade Experimental. Her
daughters, however will be American Nubians. No buck kids will be
kept.
Sicily was bred to our new Junior Herdsire, Lakeshore EX Summer
Exodus for May kids and had one of the only 2 doe kids Exodus gave
us for 07. His sharp, dairy influence made for some really pretty kids!
Both of her kids and Sicily now live in Georgia with Rhett who is
showing and testing her!
