Choosing a Hoanbu Dairy Goat
We enjoy talking with you about what you are looking for.  We strive to fit the right animal with the
right home so be sure to
let us know what you are searching for and what improvements you'd like
to see in kids from your Hoanbu dairy goat.  Hoanbu Dairy Goats abides by ADGA Recommended
Trade Practices as defined in the ADGA Guidebook.  Herd health and proper management is very
important to us.  All kids sold will be disbudded, tattooed, vaccinated for CD/T, and supplemented
with Bo-Se injection before leaving the farm.  Coccidiosis preventative is also given to kids
periodically until weaned.  From time to time, older bucks and does may also be available for sale
so please
contact us if you are interested in an animal of any age.

Reserving Your Hoanbu Kid
To reserve the option to purchase a Hoanbu kid, a $100 deposit is required with remaining
balance due within 10 days of notification of birth. We ask that you pick a first and second kid
choice option in the event that your 1st choice is not available.  If your choice of kid is not available
or if the animal does not meet our standards of quality, we will gladly refund your deposit or
transfer to another kid or semen if that is your desire, however there are no refunds on canceled
orders. Deposits along with any monies paid on cancelled orders are not refunded.  Prices quoted
are for pre-ordered kids picked up or shipped between 3 to 6 weeks of age. We do not guarantee
these prices for animals ordered after birth.  As the breeder/owner of these animals, I do reserve
the right to keep any animal born.  Please note that Nubians and Alpines are color breeds and we
cannot guarantee that kids born will be a certain color.  Kids rejected by buyer due to color is
considered a cancelled order.

Deposits and Payment
Prices quoted are for animals picked up at the farm.  Deposits on live and mature animals will
hold that animal until pick-up within 14 days. Sending a deposit is your guarantee that you will buy
that animal at the agreed upon price quoted within this timeframe specified.  Deposits on live
animals offered for sale are accepted at the rate of $100 down per animal or 30% of the total
amount, whichever is greater.  Once a deposit is placed on a live animal, the goat must be picked
up or shipped and out of my possession by 2 weeks or the animal may be offered for sale again or
a boarding fee assessed at the rate of $4/day for kids and dry does, $5/day for bucks, and $6/day
for does in milk.  Deposits can be transferred to another animal or semen, but all monies paid on
cancelled orders are not refunded.  Cash, cashier's checks, paypal, money orders and good
cleared checks are accepted.  I will hold registration papers until personal checks clear the bank.
Buyer is responsible for any and all bank fees assessed for bad checks.  Buyer is responsible for
all health certificates, veterinary exams, blood tests, shipping, crate, and other costs associated
with veterinary fees and shipment.

Please make checks or money orders out to:
Holly Buroker

I do accept PayPal payments at hoanbu@hotmail.com.  Please be aware that buyer is responsible
for paypal transaction fees. Fees are assessed by Paypal to recipient whenever you use a credit
card (or otherwise use uncollected monies) to make the purchase.  Please include appropriate
fees in your transaction at the time of the transaction (ie: send $206.10 for a $200 deposit.)  If your
paypal payment comes from a collected balance in your paypal account, you should not encounter
transaction fees.  You can also send the paypal funds as a "gift" and fees are not assessed.

Taking Your Kid Home
Although we encourage you to pick your kid up at the farm so that you may view related animals,
this must be done by appointment only because of our work and time commitments.  We realize
this may not always be possible so limited delivery can be arranged to the
local shows and events
we attend, with or without additional costs.  Long hauls to shows are prohibitive of trailer space, so
we prefer to not bring sale goats with us that we are not showing.  Let us know your needs well
ahead of time so we can make the necessary airline arrangements to ship your new kid to you out
of Columbus, Ohio (CMH) airport.  All shipping costs, including individual cost of kid, Certificate of
Veterinary Inspection and any related testing needed, shipping crate and shipping fees are to be
paid
in full by the buyer prior to time of shipping. We will provide ADGA registration papers for any
kid purchased by an ADGA member.

Buyer may:
1) send us your clean airline approved crate that is the correct size for your kid/s to be received at
least one week prior to the anticipated ship date,
2)  send us funds so a new crate can be purchased, at cost, for us to ship your kid/s to you (you
keep the crate), or
3) use one of our crates with a $75 deposit, refunded once crate is returned to us clean and intact.

Bucks
Please know that we do not keep just any buck that is born.  Our standards are high for a reason.
Buck kids are usually castrated at or before 4 weeks of age if not pre-ordered as barn space and
my time is limited. Due to time and work commitments, please understand that we not like to keep
"extra" buck kids around once show season is in full swing, so please consider pre-ordering
and/or contacting us early.   Buck kids are only conditionally available ("CA") from first fresheners.
Before a buck kid from a first freshener is sold as a breeding buck, his dam must be evaluated in
milk for a minimum of 3 to 6 weeks.   We ask that you view several daughters in milk before any
Hoanbu buck's semen is marketed to the public.  We reserve the right to obtain 20 straws of
semen from any buck we sell at the cost of collection.

Special Note Concerning Wethers
As we are quite picky about what bucks we save for breeding animals, we usually castrate (band)
several buck kids each year.  Market wethers must be reserved with a $20 deposit with balance
due when kid is picked up at or before 2 to 4 weeks of age.  We will not hold wethers without a
deposit and we will not raise a wether til weaning.  No ADGA registration paper will be issued for
wethers, but can be obtained at buyer's cost.  A scrapie tattoo will be used in leiu of a scrapie tag.

As the breeder/owner of these animals, I do reserve the right to keep any animal born, or withdraw
from sale an animal that does not meet our quality standards.  Hoanbu Dairy Goats abides by
ADGA Recommended Trade Practices as defined in the ADGA Guidebook.

Thank you for your interest and I hope to hear from you soon!
