Choosing a Hoanbu Dairy Goat
We enjoy talking with you about what you are looking for. We
strive to fit the right animal with the right home so be sure to
let us know what you are searching for and what improvements
you'd like to see in kids from your Hoanbu dairy goat. Herd
health and proper management is very important to us. All kids
sold will be disbudded, tattooed, vaccinated for CD/T, and
supplemented with Bo-Se injection before leaving the farm.
Coccidiosis preventative is also given to kids periodically until
weaned. From time to time, older bucks and does may also be
available for sale so please contact us if you are interested in
an animal of any age.

Reserving Your Hoanbu Kid
All kid orders are on a first deposit, first served basis. Prices
quoted are for pre-ordered kids picked up at the farm or
shipped between 4 to 6 weeks of age. To reserve your Hoanbu
kid, a $100 deposit is required with remaining balance due
within 3 weeks of notification of birth. We ask that you pick a
first and second kid choice in the event that your 1st choice is
not available. If we are unable to fill your order or if the animal
does not meet our standards of quality, this deposit may be
transferred to another animal or semen, but deposits on
cancelled orders are not refunded. Prices quoted are for
pre-ordered kids picked up or shipped between 4 to 6 weeks of
age. We do not guarantee these prices for animals ordered
after birth.

Bucks
Please know that we do not keep just any buck that is born.
Our standards are high for a reason. Buck kids are usually
castrated at or before 4 weeks of age if not pre-ordered as
barn space is limited. Understand that we usually do not keep
"extra" buck kids around once show season is in full swing, so
please consider pre-ordering and/or contacting us early.   Buck
kids are only conditionally available ("CA") from first fresheners.
Before a buck kid from a first freshener is sold as a breeding
buck, his dam must be evaluated in milk for a minimum of 4 to 6
weeks.   We ask that you view several daughters in milk before
any Hoanbu buck's semen is marketed. We reserve the right to
obtain 20 straws of semen from any buck we sell at the cost of
collection.

Special Note Concerning Wethers
As we are quite picky about what bucks we save for breeding
animals, we usually castrate quite a few buck kids each year.
Excess buck kids will be banded and will be available for sale at
the then-current market price for meat kids based on weight.
Market wethers must be reserved with a $20 deposit with
balance due when kid is picked up at or before 2 to 4 weeks of
age. We will not hold wethers without a deposit. No ADGA
registration paper will be issued for wethers, but can be
obtained at buyer's cost. A scrapie tattoo will be used in leiu of
a scrapie tag.

Taking Your Kid Home
Although we encourage you to pick your kid up at the farm so
that you may view related animals, we realize this may not
always be possible. Let us know your needs well ahead of time
and we can make the necessary airline arrangements to ship
your new kid to you out of Columbus (CMH) or Dayton (DAY),
Ohio airports. All shipping costs, including health papers,
shipping crate and shipping fees are to be paid by the buyer
prior to time of shipping. We will provide ADGA registration
papers and transfer to ADGA Members. Buyer may:
1) send us your airline approved crate that is the correct size
for your kid/s at least one week prior
to the anticipated ship date,
2) send us funds so a new crate can be purchased, at cost, for
us to ship your kid/s to you (you keep the crate), or
3) use one of our crates with a $75 deposit, refunded once
crate is returned to us intact.
Limited delivery can be arranged to the shows and events we
attend.

Deposits and Payment
Deposits on live animals are a guarantee that I will hold that
animal until pick-up AND your guarantee that you will buy that
animal at the agreed upon price quoted. Deposits on cancelled
orders are not refunded, but can be transferred to another
animal, buck service, or semen. Deposits on live animals
offered for sale are accepted at the rate of $100 down per
animal or 30% of the total amount, whichever is greater. Once
a deposit is placed on a live animal, the goat must be picked up
and out of my possession by 2 weeks or the animal may be
offered for sale again or a boarding fee assessed at the rate of
$4/day for dry does, $5/day for bucks, and $6/day for does in
milk. Cash, money orders and checks are accepted. I will hold
registration papers until personal checks clear the bank.

Although I mark what kids I believe I want to keep as
replacements early on, as the breeder/owner of these animals,
I do reserve the right to keep any animal born for your second
choice kid or a full refund of your deposit.
